That's not true for me. I chose to come to Gelbooru because I was pissed off by Danbooru's standards.
I uploaded some of my photoshops on Danbooru, only to have them deleted away, and reappear in Gelbooru under Danbooru's posts. Some of them got really nice user rating scores. It's up to you guys to believe it or not.

3. It's like a completely different culture. Where thumbs up means "good job" while somewhere else it means "F- you". Forgot the spot though.
4. The servers are still shit from time to time. Danbooru has terribad bandwidth and searching for pictures means waiting some unknown time before getting back on. Gel kinda has the same issues, but not to the same consistency. Much better bandwidth imo

Gelbooru has always gave me this feeling of being more cheap and cheerful than Danbooru, and yet Danbooru is always the one removing features for normal users in the name of reducing server load and having downtime it seems.

Downvoted posts in both sites seems to boil down to be the ones that disagree to what the majority has to say.
Why, the other day I saw a topic here pointing out how downvoting negative posts was gradually becoming a awfully popular thing to do. A statement that holds truth for both sites.

Indeed. Danbooru and its regulars seem to be a tad in the "serious business" side of things for better or worse.
There, the situation is a lot more fair and relaxed.
