Is it just me or are pantyhose on anime characters just extremely hot?
Yet for some reason, when someone wears pantyhose in real life, I just can't get into them. I honestly do not think they are hot on real women.
What is it about pantyhose that is so hot on anime girls as opposed to reality??

Depends on the girl for me. Anime and real life. Of course, in the case of fictional girls (or traps), the character will always get perfect lighting, angles, and positioning. Fictional girls (or traps) also have the advantage of always having a set of hose that fits them and their 'personality' perfectly. The clothing on fictional girls (or traps) serve as integral parts of who they are in that moment. On real girls, it's generally a practical (or impractical) accessory.
But that's just my take.

Cartoons are usually drawn more attractively than real life people, which is why so many complain about the portrayal of women (and now men) in the media being unrealistic as it "makes people feel inadequate".

I like pantyhose on real women :)
It adds an element of anticipation to the fertile imagination.
Pantyhose in hentai however doesn't give the same feeling for me. Probably because bare legs in hentai look very smooth and untextured that adding pantyhose to them makes no difference to me.

It's not really a serious thing, i just noticed that pantyhose just really gets me going when i'm looking at anime, yet when i see women wearing it in real life, it just looks weird. must be like how their legs are developed or taken care of. i think in order to wear pantyhose, ladies in real life need to really take care of their legs, or it just looks ridiculous.

Well, as a lover of bare feet, socks and pantyhose are more or less the bane of my existence.
Although, when I think about it, it's far worse/more disappointing to see them on real women than an anime character.
