The more I've been thinking about it, the more I really think muscular_female should stay.

If memory serves, there was a (brief) discussion not too long ago about how male and female were supposed to be used when the subject was solo or when the subject was the obvious focus of the image. However, in a case when there is a muscular female who is /not/, in fact, the subject of the image, or is only a part of multiple subjects, especially in a case where there are both male and female subjects, searching for female would not yield that image, and the whole muscle tag would not be appropriate (seeing as how anything who is flexing or appears to be muscular could fit under the base tag).

Lately, I've been seeing muscular_female no different from tags such as, for instance, futa. You aren't advocating the usage of penis and female to search for futa, nor should it be, as it yields far too many "false positives," and muscular_female falls into a similar sort of category.

That is probably the best appeal for it I've seen yet. That'd get rid of the(as far as I can see, somewhat rare amount of) false-positives, give the tag a point, and should hopefully make everyone happy.

But then, the tag needs guidelines, lest it becomes like oppai_loli was where every single image that has a girl with a set of breasts gets tagged it.

A simple set of abs should not equal muscular_female. If you think it does, I'm thinking about suggesting you take the "And I guess..." away from the bottom of this post.

Also, since I refuse to make a post 100% agreeing, it could be argued, as Danbooru did, that 'female' is a redundant tag if male is used properly per the wiki guidelines.

And I guess I could always tell you to shut up and make it a pool.

e: The problem with pools is nobody knows how to use them other than people making them for image sets and retards, so they all end up going nowhere.

"Everyone hates Kyubey" for example. There's a few hundred page pool on the site for those images(thanks to Shadowblade~), and people still ask if they should create a tag for those images. Sometimes trying to keep this site from turning into a cesspit is frustrating.

But most of Danbooru already thinks it is a cesspit~

Unfortunately, unless some form of tag moderation is implemented, proper use of /any/ tag is going to be difficult to maintain. I can understand, in such a case, having a sort of band-aid patch in the form of muscular_female.

At the same time, though, at what point does a person say "this is tag-worthy" and "this should be in a pool?" If you simply say "only objects should have tags" then actions (fellatio, sex, cum_inside) would be pools, as opposed to tags. Where does that line get drawn for what is tag-worthy and what gets delegated to a pool? If memory serves, you've said in the past that something should be utterly obvious and unable to be debated to be tag-worthy, but even that will change from person to person at times.

I can perfectly understand something that is extraordinarily subjective to be set to a pool, like "Everyone hates Kyubey" or any sort of emotion, though.

I'm thinking if it's going to be so broad as to allow any visible muscle at all to apply, muscular_female should be pool material.

Guideline it so she actually has to be muscular, either just built or flatout grotesque, tag material. I assume the guidelined version is what you were thinking in the first place.

And 'Everyone hates Kyubey' isn't really subjective at all~

So I was poking about and came to find that there are #girls tags going consistently up to 20girls and then sporadicly on up to 47girls. #boys is similar, but unsurprisingly less pronounced. So which way should this go, 6+ for anything, well 6+ of course, or the actual number for everything 6 and above?

EDIT: Shounen/Shoujo Ai. Yes/No? Personally I hate these terms and want to maul anyone who uses them, but that's just me.

I thought maybe Shounen/Shoujo Ai would be for children, loli and shota with yuri/yaoi for teens and adults. Teens may be a grey area though. I'd say we can do without it by using child/loli/shota/teen with yuri/yaoi.

Hilarious.

On a completely different note, we just aliased myon to konpaku_youmu_(ghost) over on Danbooru, so I imagine you'll wanna jab lozert extra hard for an alias one way or the other on this one. Here's the thread where the decision was made, in case anyone cares. danbooru.donmai.us/forum/show/61895

We still need Kyuubee to be aliased to Kyubey.

Just thought I'd bring it up that awesome is being used to identify an artist now. Therefor someone of authority should probably append a warning to the wiki for people not to be stupid and use it for the artist, or change it to awesome_(artist) or something and just let awesome rot.
