I did not have a replacement battery to do it myself. Also, it is an iPhone 6 plus, so I don't think that it is even an option with this model.
I wend back today, and they fixed it.

It’s definitely an option on a 6+. Same exact procedure as on the 5 I replaced the battery on. You can get good batteries on Amazon or eBay or directly from reputable parts dealers like iFixit for cheaper than Apple charges - including the tools.
