Scores and Their Role in the Grand Scheme
Posted on: 02/19/09 08:17PM

I've noted multiple times that images have scores. I think this is both rad, and also awesome.

That said, it seems the scores aren't really used outside of being a small number attributed to single image. Is this just me, bein' ignoramus-like? For example, I think it would be tubular and also grody if I could sort search results by score.

Also maybe toplists and such.

So what's the bake, homeslice?

The scores are also used to filter images. (See post threshold in account options)

It would not necessarily be fair to images with toddlercon in the tags since they are reset to -100 on score every few weeks or so.

I'm up for toplists of popular images, but it's up to you to enter it in the tracker. Same with the search sort.

I can't seem to get the score filter to work. I input a number and save it, but when I go back to the post list, it's still showing posts regardless of score. I have cookies and javascript enabled. Anyone got any ideas what is wrong?
