Do you suppose it's good enough for advertising at least? I basically work on whatever commissions come my way (and I kinda have to, to make a living, since i do commission art fulltime). By reaching out to the anime loving audience, i'll get enough experience to really rock anime/manga styles quickly.

Unfortunately, if you don't have posts on the site, even if you get a banner it won't get shown anywhere. The artist banner only shows on posts with their artist tag or searches for their artist tag.

well... okay. I'll work hard to improve, and come back once I have better examples then.
Just an idea though... would it be possible to use a provided link in the future, maybe? Since I imagine i'd be paying money like a regular advertisement.

The artist banners are free, but yes, you can provide a link to your website.

OH. NO WONDER! I was wondering why there were so many hoops to jump to get an advertisement here. If it's free, of course i'd have to be amazing enough for the website to consider losing out on some paid advertisement space.
I honestly just wanted to buy or subscribe to an advertisement spot on a monthly basis. I pay Fur Affinity (a large furry gallery site) $50 dollars for an ad spot. They generally have up to 8- 728x90 banner spots, and rotate between them evenly. It gets me approximately 38million impressions in a month.
That's nice and all - but the drawback is the website focuses on Disney/American comics style art, AND they don't allow any shota/loli content. So I wanted to switch over to Gelbooru, so I can focus on advertising the content that I actually prefer.
I sent a message to the support e-mail. We can talk about stats, negotiate the price I pay. To keep it simple, I'm thinking i'd pay up front for one month (minus the days already gone from the month), then sign up on patreon for the full monthly amount.
