That makes sense.

So you would add bound when you add either bondage or tied_up but restrained and bound are independent? That is, you can be both bound AND restrained but you don't have to be, you can be bound OR restrained instead?

Correct.

Also what do you mean by "aliased"?

An alias forces one tag to become another. For example, if you search evangelion on Gelbooru it will bring up results for neon_genesis_evangelion. This is because evangelion is aliased to neon_genesis_evangelion. Unfortunately our alias system does not work as well as Danbooru's at the moment so it's hard to create new aliases without having to rebuild the database or break the site. I usually just use a tool to edit one tag into another if I have to.

An implication is different from an alias. An implication adds one tag to another without removing the other tag. So if a post has a stationary_restraints tag it would add the restrained tag automatically. Gelbooru does not have this feature yet so it is done piecemeal with tools. Another mod, for example, runs a tool that adds the multiple_girls tag to posts that have a 2girls tag if it didn't already have it, usually within several minutes.

A lot of images featuring the female playable character in Pokémon Sun/Moon are tagged with both "female_protagonist_(pokemon_sm)" and "mizuki_(pokemon_sm)"; which one is the preferred tag?

(also if it's the latter shouldn't it be just "mizuki_(pokemon)")

The original mizuki_(pokemon) was an unrelated character from dppt. post #1326208

female_protagonist_(pokemon_sm) was a placeholder tag. The correct tag is mizuki_(pokemon_sm).

gag vs gagged
Posted on: 06/10/17 12:35AM

The wiki article for 'gagged' seems to indicate that 'gag' should only be used for purpose built gags, such as 'ball_gag' etc., and that improvised gags would not qualify for the 'gag' tag.

However the wiki article for 'gag' seems to indicate that any gag, purpose built or improvised was fine using 'gag'.

Which would be correct?

gagged: "either with a purpose-built gag, such as a ball_gag, or by an improvised_gag, such as tape over the mouth."

Also, improvised_gag is a subset of "gag", gag doesn't have to be purpose-built.

Should the wiki page for 'gagged' be updated then? It states - "List of improvised gags (images that do not qualify for the gag tag)" or is that just noting that an improvised gag does not qualify for the gag tag when not being used as a gag?

I can't change the "female_protagonist_(pokemon_sm)" tag to "mizuki_(pokemon_sm)" (or add/remove any other tags, for that matter) on this post: gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=3169841
Are some posts protected with tag locks or something?

That is correct.

If you come across any more posts like that, post them here and one of us will fix them.

Would there be a way to automate the process of tagging images with "highres", "lowres", "absurdres" and "huge_filesize" by making Gelbooru or a bot or something automatically add the tags to images based on their height/width/size?
