So is Whentai considered paysite content or not then.

If you can view the image without paying anything then it's fine. If an image is behind a paywall then it's not allowed.

What about when they have whentai.com watermarks.

Third-party watermarks are disallowed whether they're from a paysite or not.

Is there a place I can look at the database schema for the site's tagging system? I made a photo album tagging website as a personal project, but after 98 pictures and ~30 tags per picture, the DB had reached over 3000 rows. I'd like to make it more efficient, and studying an existing site might help me.

You might can look at gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...=view&id=99&pid=0

It's an older version of the site but the current version is closed source.

Our schema for tagging is really simple. Each post's entire tag list is stored in just one cell as plaintext. One post uses one row in one table for all of its metadata combined.

We do have a separate table for the tag edit history, and a table for metadata on the tag itself, but these are not coupled to the actual post information in any way (if the site needs to know what type a tag is, for example, it makes a separate query to that table searching by name), and are completely optional if you're building your own tagging system.

Hello, new account here, I hope this is the right place for this question, and pre-emptive apology if I'm in the wrong thread.

I tend to use gelbooru a lot, because the wider range of images compared to danbooru, the large amount of images that can be loaded per page, and the amount of tags a free user can type in makes it really REALLY good. Loads a bit slower than other sites due to ads, but the tag-usage and high number of images per page more than makes up for it. So that's pretty good.

Anyways, there were some pictures I decided I wanted to see again, generally some warcraft images from cutesexyrobutts, but upon using the appropriate tags I found them to be gone, along with a few others I could recognize (most of their Poppy images are gone too).

I found them in different sites later, but I just want to confirm, if this kind of stuff happens, is it because the pictures were deleted for whatever reason, or is there a paywall I'm missing? Or is this just an error where some pictures sometimes disappear from searches?

They were most likely deleted.

This is a Japanese themed site, so if it's a Western artist/copyright/art-style, some images can end up getting removed.

Ah, pity. I am going to have to double-check with other sites from now on just to make sure there are not any images I am missing. More effort, less convenience.

Thank you for the answer.

Thank you very much. I'll look through it.

Okay, that's simple enough for storing one post's tags, but doesn't that get really expensive when searching for all instances of a single tag? You'd have to parse tens of thousands of cells every time someone searches. Do you have another table where all uses of a tag are stored the same way? You'd have to keep those balanced somehow.

Wiki link shortening?
Posted on: 04/20/19 04:26AM

I've noticed in wikis, for tags, that links to other tags are shown just as the tags name, that doubles as a link.
I can't figure out how to shorten it from a full https link or a "forum#1111" link.
I tried reading through a couple help pages on Gelbooru, but can't find what I'm looking for.
What is this magic?
