Is Gelbooru fine with Photoshop uncensoring? Because I had 13 pictures out of 16 deleted from Danbooru because most of them was uncensoring work I did myself, and I said I did them. Ironically, there's plenty more that remain, maybe just because they where anonymous. When I asked why they hate it so much, even the uncensoring jobs that where perfect and favorite'd by some, all the responses I got was spit of a condescending nature. I was fed up and I spent my rage on a topic I created. Things got ugly pretty fast after a couple of "hurr duurr derp" responses and here I am, an official Gelbooru member after one year of browsing.

As I see, I have many uncensoring work posted here that where "stolen" from Danbooru (before ol' Dan went apeshit deleting everything) and there are still here. So, I guess you are fine with them.

So, I will repost the uncensoring jobs I find that are the best. If you guys like to look at real pussies instead of censoring filters, I will make more and I will await your constructive critiques.

As long as it doesn't suck. I've never done uncensoring work before but I imagine it takes time to do it correctly.

It take time and a lot of work. I'm also very severe against myself so if I have any doubts about my work, either I won't post it or I will ask around if you guys like it.

The last work I did was gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=485652 I posted it on both Danbooru and 4chan.org. On 4chan (you know how people can be either retards or awesome on that site) I got some surprising constructive positive and negative comments. On Danbooru, it was hate from the start. A hate that border on phobic. On 4chan, an awesome Anon "corrected" my shoop to make it perfect. Great comments from everybody ensue and I was astonished myself. So, I posted that work of art gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=486468 on Danbooru, saying that awesome collaboration on the internet was a beautiful thing. The hate I got could have melted my computer screen. Both pictures where deleted.

That was the last straw. I tried to ask WTF on the forum, but it devolved in a shitstorm and I got banned. Good lord did I raged.

You seem all like great guys with a logical mind. It will be a pleasure to post my work done with time and love to your site. I'm looking forward to your comments and I salute your open mind.

Ah ... from another thread -- I should have read this one first! So people didn't like your decensoring job, huh? From what I see it's OK. Did you do the artwork yourself, or borrow it from somewhere else? I'm curious because there are a ton of images I'd like to see decensored, and I've tried to do it, myself, with very unsatisfactory results. I suppose there's a better way than working at the pixel level, but I'm not an artist and the range of tools available in GIMP just bewilders me.

I like to see work like this that shows the person who decensored the image actually understands a bit about female anatomy. Being one of those (females), myself, I'm pretty picky about this, and while jobs like you did on that linked image, actually show the vulva in more detail and more "open" than you'd likely see in a photograph showing the same position, it's a whole lot better than some of the original imagery I've seen on this board and others, where I sometimes think the artist never saw a real naked woman close-up in his life.

So, yeah ... I'm all for you posting your edits, here, and I'd like to propose that we be able to tag decensored images in a way that makes it possible to know who did it -- maybe something like "decensored_kanrabat", for instance. As far as I'm concerned, that's as important as knowing the name of the character, the game/manga it's from, and the original artist, which, to me, are the most important tags for any image.

As a Mod In Training, I'd LOVE to see more of your carefully done decensored work! For the sake of whoever might be the original artist, may I suggest that you in no way remove an actual artists sig or watermark. BTW: Watermaked pics are among the "Do Not Post" list in the Terms Of Service, so Please be careful in that department.

In general I'd like to welcome someone who'd be decensoring images for those of us that really dislike censoring in the first place ;)

By all means: Have At, good fellow! Just peruse the Terms of Service to avoid any potential snags, and all should be Right With The World!

Thanks a lot guys, at last, some people who have some sense of logic! I'm always open to CONSTRUCTIVE critique even the painfully negative one. Just no retarded comments like "Uhhhrgg gehhh deuuurh you suuuuuuuuuck lol XD", if you know what I mean.

I will proceed to post every uncensored picture I did, with all the appropriate tags, and the maximum tags I can give them. As for refering the original pictures, I will leave the work to you because some of my edits are quite old and I don't have any idea of where the original is from. Oh, and speaking of tagging, I will use the "uncensored" tag and the "photoshop" tag on all my edits. Also, dear Ferryt, your idea of adding a "decensored_kanrabat" tag is a great one. This way, I won't need to add a comment of "uncensored by me" on every single posts. And if I got intelligent haters, they could just add that tag to their blacklist instead of being jerks.

As for my uncensoring methods, lemme tell you right now that I'm far from a professional drawing artist. So I use my very limited knowledge of Photoshop to do my work. First, I take the original image and observe what is the position of the character that need uncensoring. I also look at the definition of the image and it's general art style. Then, I browse my hentai folder or Gelbooru for any "donor" parts that might be of use. I then copy and paste carefully the "donated" part over the censored part. I use transparency, warp, clonestamp, blur, any tools that I understand to make it work and to make it appear like the original was like this all along.

If I can fap myself with great pleasure and intensity over my work, it's mean it's a succes! (You now have a disturbing mental image burned into your mind.) Then I post and share my successful work with you.

I like slightly open vagina because it tell my primitive brain "women ready for making babies." I also like the occasional "invisicock". You know, when the girl is fucked by the invisible man. Of course, I will use it only if the original want it.

Be warned that the pics I will now posts might be duplicates because of the agreement of Gelbooru's auto-grabbing Danbooru's posts.

Thank you for your support. You don't have any idea how it makes for a nice change. I promise I won't let you down and if you have any particular uncensoring requests tell me and I will see what can I do. By the way, I never tried uncensoring straight sex. It might be messy. What I love uncensoring is ecchi and yuri. If I love the picture you want uncensored the chances that I'll do it will be quite high. In the meantime, I have at least 20 pictures in my "to be uncensored" folder and I have 10 failures in need of correcting.

If there is any more Photoshop artists out there, we could do some great things together, like the previous example I said.

Now, off to work!

Oh, no need to worry about any duplicate files. The site gently redirect me and I just have to update the tag list and add some comments. There, all the edits are done and two new pictures have been added.

If you want to see my old edits that survived Danbooru's wrath, search for the "decensored_kanrabat" tag. Please tell me what you think of them!

Kanrabat, I have to live with the fact that hentai is created for guys (although I find it fascinating that a lot of the artists are actually women). What I look for in erotic imagery is different than what you're looking for, even though I'm sure we have a lot of overlap. I don't like huge breasts. That's one of the reasons why, in that pair of images you gave us I liked the one that somebody else "fixed" -- the breasts are more to my liking, plus I really thought the "sausage nipples" were really ugly. Real nipples don't do that. Trust me. :)

I looked up the original image, too. One of my pet peeves is the ever-popular disembodied penis. That, to me, is a total turn-off, but, then, I like the guys in hentai as much as I like the girls, so I like to see them in the picture, too. You can probably imagine, then, that I don't like invisible guys, either. I'm not a big fan of yuri because a lot of it is simply badly done, so I concentrate most of my searches on hetero scenes, and it's really annoying how many very good hetero scenes are completely ruined because the artist did a wonderful job of rendering the girl and then just sort of left out the details on the guy(s) -- sometimes to the point at which they just look like featureless shadows. Yeah ... again, it's a difference between audiences, but there *are* females who like this stuff -- we just don't have as big a choice of ... slish ... material as you guys do.

So, borrowed naughty bits. That's OK by me. I'm probably not going to recognize the donor, anyway. Just don't go to photographs to get them. I've seen a few photoshopped images where that was done and it's just ... bizarre. I might point out something that might be easier said than done, but in the image you linked to above, the highlighting on the girl's left thigh is clearly stylistically different than the original highlighting on her right buttock. I know, you had to add that when you removed the disembodied penis (that gets you three stars out of five right out of the starting gate), but there may have been a better way. Why not just cut the original highlight out, rotate it, and then paste it where you needed it? That way it would be shaded properly, without those concentric rings that made it stand out as an obvious photoshop job. It might take a bit of feathering along the edges of the pasted image, but I'm sure it would have looked just as good as the original.

Xiombarg, if the original image has the artist's own watermark on it, Gelbooru would almost have to allow it on the board, wouldn't it? Otherwise that image would never be available to us. I think lozertuser's issue is with watermarks put on by image hosting sites as a sort of advertisment.

Thanks for your comments. Yeah, I prefer the Anonymously modded Videl compared to the "saussage nip" I did. But, you have to admit that it was in the spirit of the extremes Oreteki is known for.

As for the thigh highlight, this one was an incredible headache. It took me more than an hour to figure out how to do the deed. I did cut the original highlight out, rotate it, and then paste it where I needed it. Unfortunately, something was off. It was too similar to the other one and it looked like an horrible cut-out. I tried merging it the best way I could with the clonestamp and blur tools. I discovered the smudge tool and I experimented with it.

Oh, and I tried shooping a real pussy on a ecchi manga girl... ugh... never again.

I usually prefer yuri and ecchi because usually, the only cock I want to see is my own. But if the hetero image is awesome, I will save it and fap to it. I also like these hardcore gang-bang like one girl and 20 cocks... WTF is wrong with these bi-polar tastes of mine?! O_o

I'm a guy that prefer to see the girl in hentai manga or art, of course. But I find it quite bizarre that the guy is usually an invisible entity, like a ghost or just a floating body part, or the guy have no face at all or his body have no details. Obviously, it's to make the guy feel in place of the depicted male character. But I feel for the forgotten dude, who is giving a great performance but will remain unknown and will have no glory because the camera was never on him. Fuck, even in hentai manga where the main character is a guy, the "camera" is never on him during the sex scenes. Anyway...

My current skill level only allow me to do ecchi picture with genitals that are not in contact with anything. I will continue to practice and experiment and eventually, I will move on for harder challenge. (Fuck that Videl was a bitch to make...) So, what do you think of the other works I did so far? (Look for decensored_kanrabat)

Heheh ... perhaps, but I'm not into those "extremes", and I think emphasizing a body part out of proportion of the body (or especially out of proportion with human reality in general) is just ugly.

I would have figured that cutting and pasting the original highlight would have been an easy task, but that just goes to show you how little I know about working with a digital image program. I wonder if the artist did that using some special filter, or if it was a blurred area originally created with something like "airbrush". I really do need to just take some time and play with GIMP (I can't afford Photoshop, but GIMP does pretty much everything that it does, and it's free).

I like to see cocks ... but, then, I'm a girl, so go figure. :P You'll probably find that your real-life tastes in sex don't always mirror your tastes in erotic imagery. Like you, I love gang-bang pictures, but I also happen to like gang-bangs in real life (I live in 12-person poly group -- 7 men and 5 women -- so I actually do get to enjoy this occasionally). However, I have an extensive collection of non-consensual stuff, which I find terribly arousing, even though anyone who tried to force me into something IRL would be facing The Bitch From Hell. So don't worry about your "bi-polar tastes". It's pretty normal.

I don't even save images where the guy isn't rendered in some detail. It isn't that I'm sorry for the "forgotten dude", but that the artist hasn't taken the effort to actually please the other part of his audience. I think that a lot of them forget that women are interested in this stuff, too, and it bothers us when the picture is only half-finished. I've seen some really nice images totally spoiled by invisible guys or guys rendered in some flat shade of grey. Sex between two or more people is about all of them -- not just the person who's the center of attention. Now, I know why some of this is ... the idea is to make it easier for the viewer of the image, assumed to be a lonely, sex-starved, male, to put himself into the place of the guy in the image. That's going to be easier if you don't give that guy an identity of his own. It still sucks.

Photoshopping in genitals in images with heterosexual activity is going to be difficult ... at least the way you're doing it ... because of the issues with getting good size and angle matches. Compound that with the sad fact that a lot of artists draw the vulva first and then juxtapose part of a penis. That's where you see something that doesn't bother a lot of people, but sure bugs me -- the outer lips of the vulva should be pressed outward. Much of the time it looks like the guy's penis has just been cleanly sliced off and then pressed against a "closed" vulva -- very distracting, at least for me. You definitely have some challenges in store for you.

OK, other images: I looked yesterday but there was only one tagged. Now we have more, so, in order ...

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=493745 : Good job, although it would be interesting to see the original image before censoring. I think the fingers match up OK in the original, but they obviously don't in your edited version. The "spreading" you see is at four points, and her left index and right middle fingers don't touch in the right places. If you're really clever you could move that index finger. I've seen people manipulate images like that, before, anyway. You'd have to move the entire right hand to bring the middle finger into contact with the vulva, though.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=493744 : Looks good except for one thing. This is a loli image and the vulva you show is from a mature woman. Unless she's been sexually active for years the labia minora aren't going to protrude like that (and even then not always). Also, it's hard to tell from the position, but it's possible that her anus should be showing, as well.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=493513 : Best one so far. Very nicely done, and the finger match up almost perfectly.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=493506 : Excellent job, especially for a first attempt. I don't really have that much of a problem with the yellowish tint, although you might have been able to correct that before you pasted on the donor part of the image. I frequently do color adjustments on my favorite images because artists tend to create skin tones that aren't realistic, so it's pretty easy to do. Those little black splats with the eyes are really, really annoying. I would have gotten rid of them. Two would have been a snap (the two at the far sides). The one that intersects her hair would have required a little work at the pixel level, and the other two could have been fixed with the blur tool to shade in the background.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=485652 : I already commented on this one.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=354559 : Works for the most part. There's not much detail, but there doesn't have to be.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=354558 : It's OK, but I like the other decensor job, better if only because it's more realistic. The main problem I have with this image is that the original artist depicted the semen is flat, paper-like strands -- more obvious on the higher-definition images.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=354555 : Pretty good, I think, and a close color match, but keep in mind that the skintone of the inner vulva is seldom the same as the color of body skin. This is one of those images, if it were in my favorites folder, that I'd tweak the color on -- way too much on the purple side for my tastes.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=354554 : Not sure why her anus is being shown open, since there's nothing she's doing that could make that happen, but I imagine that was part of the original image. I can't say much negative about the actual editing. It's appropriately blurred and nicely matched.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=354553 : This woman has muscles and big breasts -- usually mutually-exclusive on one person, but that wasn't your fault. It's just not somthing I'd do more than glance at and go to the next thumbnail. The editing is good but I have a problem with the choice, since the vagina doesn't normally "gape" like that, even when the labia are spread apart. Unless, of course, she has a habit of cohabitating with horses.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=353294 : Very good editing, but, again, I have a problem with the choice you made. The internal surface of the vagina isn't "bumpy" like that. It has ridges that go around the circumferance. This looks more like the inside of a Fleshlight "speed bump" toy for guys.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=345987 : "wet_pussy" or "creampie". Natural female lubricants don't do that, although I'm aware that a lot of Japanese artists seem to think so. In some ways this looks more like an "after_sex" picture. The editing of the vulva is good, although I did a second take on the inner lips, which looked like they were made of bumps, rather than flat flaps of tissue. If you did the anus you did it wrong. Sorry, if that's the case. It's a nice anus, as drawn ones, go, but it really does look like it was just pasted on top of a pre-existing image with no thought of the background. It even obscures part of the line of the left buttock.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=312929 : This one is very good, although the size helps. When you can see lots of detail due to a closeup, the imperfections jump out. This looks like it could be part of the original image.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=312927 : Bottom girl, OK. The only quibble I have with her is that the inner lips won't stay spread like that for very long after they're put in that position manually. Top girl -- gaping vagina is a no-no under most circumstances, although I know some guys get off on that sort of image. It will stay like that for a short period (very short period) when a penis or dildo is removed, but that's it. I get the impression that no guy is involved, here, although I could be wrong about that, since I don't know the context of this image. Technically, though, this is good work.

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=312926 : Again, the labia don't normally spread like that on their own, but this is a nice image, and a "save" for me, since this is one of my favorite themes (I call it "Bound and Vulnerable" in my saved images directory).

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=304409 : I've seen the original of this, but passed it by. First of all I don't normally keep "presentation" images, and I'm not a fan of Yuffie with that large left arm, or whatever is wrong with her in some images. Anyway, that's just my preferences. What was really bad with the original image was the censorship. If anything at all is censored in an image there has to be some "saving grace" to it to entice me to save it. I'm sure that other people feel the same, based upon some of the outrage I've read about censorship. This image shows why people like you are a necessary (and under-appreciated) part of this community, Kanrabat. You did a very nice job with this one, even if it is a little blurred. Were I interested in poses like this, I'd save this one.

So, thank you for your hard work!
