Did something happen to the search function?
Posted on: 05/02/09 06:17PM

When I just tried searching for a few tags, I noticed that no matter what I type in, I always get the "Nobody here but us chickens!" message. I type in common tags like "touhou", "uncensored", "brown_hair", but I still get nothing.

Is there something going on that I don't know of?

EDIT: Ah, nevermind. I fixed it. An empty space somehow appeared in my blacklist and prevented me from searching anything. Did this happen to anyone else, too?

You have a "%20" in your blacklist. You need to go to your account options and resave your blacklist with no white-space.

*Edit* This will happen to users who come back after a long absence. I have updated the user database removing the single %20. Hopefully their cookies have expired if/when they return.

Yeah, I just noticed that. I didn't remember tinkering with my blacklist though, and I was able to search for images yesterday without any problems. Has anyone else had empty spaces appear in their blacklist?

I just followed lozertuser's advice, and re-saved my blacklist with no extra spaces(there were never any to begin with, btw), and still get same problem. According to the instructions, you type in each term you want excluded, seperated by a single space. Has that changed?

No, it hasn't. It appears that having an aliased word in your blacklist will cause it to 404. I will add it to the tracker. In the mean time, remove futa from your blacklist and leave in futanari and you'll get results.

awesome, thank you. I only had both futa and futanari in the list because at the time people were tagging as both, and some undesired results were coming thru. I'm assuming that some tags are being aliased like that? There's no way to force-correct a tag? i.e. if someone tags as "futa" it would get auto-corrected to "futanari" ?

It does that currently. I am re-approving aliases at the moment so all futa should be switched over if I ever reach that tag.
