How about a My Account/log in link on the front page? It's hardly a spectacular problem, but it's kind of annoying to have to click through to another page to get to it.

I figured as much. It couldn't have been as simple as just a configuration tweak. Very few simple things are ever that simple. :) I get requests all too frequently to change our phpBB-based board over on furrysanctuary.com in ways that you'd think would be snap ... and then it's like "Dude ... do you realize that we'd have to reprogram phpBB in order to do that?"

I always come here first before I check on new posts, so it's two clicks (and waiting for the thumbnails page to load enough so I can click on through to the forums), but I'll just set my bookmark for here, then.

It's really simple, just adding an <a href like standard html. What you see in the index page source is what I have to add. I'm just saying the forum activity isn't nearly large enough to give reason for that to be on the front page, and with it, prominent placement in search engine results.

Ah, I see. I honestly don't have an idea how your software works. I know we can make some tweaks to phpBB like that, but other things that seem equally simple require digging into the engine behind the board.

Anyway, I might just experiment with Grease Monkey and see if I can get it to add a link on *this* end. Ya gotta love Firefox!
