I think it would be nice to be able to upload images by URL and maybe a bookmarklet feature that retrieves it for you and automaticaly sends you to the upload page.
Also, if these features do get implemented, I suggest that the URL upload and image source fields are separated. This is because e621.net has them joined and is plagued with posts that link directly to the source image instead of the contextual page.

This is an extremely bad idea, and will open the gateway to virus city.
