I could be wrong, but I think that other things besides images could be added to spruce up our booru, specifically to the forum. A couple of things such as Forum Games, Discussion of the various series we post images of, a section for sports,music,television and book talk, and maybe a fun spammy section to just say whatever!

Maybe two seperate sections for anime and game discussion. Other cool extras could be a section for roleplaying, or posting written works. These maybe seem to just be forum clichés, but they usually give forums more life. I bet we could think of some fun contests like finding rare images too! The site might not support this, but think we should try it.

Considering most requests I have made, It isn't very likely to happen due to many conflicting factors; perhaps when the Board Leaders Realize just how BIG their site will get, mayhaps they will consider it. Until then, just enjoy what this site has now.

Umm... This is an image board, not a social networking site, so I don't think that most people who come here would be interested in that kind of thing.

A game of Picture Association might work, but most other games/Off-topic things probably won't last very long...

Try a *chan style image board in addition to the forums, or as a replacement to the forums. Also the addition of the Danbooru-Wiki thing would be nice.

Well, it was supposed to be a thread about Hentai OVA's and how we could help each other out By tagging them accordingly based on Extremely specific criteria and Time of it's appearance within the OVA, along with how much of it and how long it lingers for. I assumed it was appropriate because This site Does contain Hentai but Complications involving Board Leaders Contemplation about removing Caps Compromised my thread's creation.
That, and It needed a Spoiler Tag Feature which He assured me wasn't going to happen any time soon. I have the details all written out for it, but Now it's just collecting Virtual dust.

No, the picture game wouldn't work because the ONLY tag you can use in posts is the quote tag; I don't know IF gelbooru's board has any others despite my requests to board leader about a list. Unless, perhaps your talking about the comments section, yeah maybe it would there, but thats more like chat isn't it?

Yeah, I also requested some time back, I think, about a Wiki of sorts. It was rejected due to Maintenance and relevance issues. Again, Gelbooru isn't big enough yet(apparently) to have those kinds of luxuries.

All this site is, the way I see it is, Tag Images, Find Images, comment on Images. That is unfortunately it.

Summer is here so geltas is now coding up new features for the site. You need only to request them on the tracker to be implemented.

I honestly think that it would be best, considering the primitive nature of the forums, here, to implement the forums using software like phpBB3 -- much more flexible, and features can easily be added (such as formatting codes), in just a few moments by someone familiar with HTML coding.
