how many hard drives does a image site use? I'm just curios. Is there anyone that can answer me this question? PLEASE

If you receive 600 requests for a regular image file per second, you need to factor that into the IO of the HDD. You can expect about 90-120 random IO from a drive. So you'll need at least 6 to handle that load being generated. But thumbnails cause ~42 IOPS for every search result. So around 60K IOPS. You're better off getting a few SSDs.
If you're talking about space for a local backup of a booru, you'll probably want at least 4TB of space.
