Automatic translation

I am someone like many who doesn't understand Japanese and as such I feel that all pictures with Japanese writing should get translation put in as a standard issue practice for those who do not know the language.

We have absolutely no way of knowing that an image has Japanese text without actually looking at it.

So you would need a link to the pictures in question?

Even if you were to link us to the image, it probably wouldn't do much good. We just flat out don't have enough translators on staff, and most of us spend our time on tagging and image deletions. If you want an image translated, throw the "translation_request" tag on it, and hopefully someone will get around to it.

The same problem is on g.e-hentai.org/ and hentai666.com where they also don't have enough English translators.
On the other side I see Korean and Chinese translation appear almost a few days after the Japanese raw version. Does that mean English translator are just lazy or do Korean and Chinese work that much faster...

None of the staff on this site gets paid for their work, it's all volunteer/hobby work. We haven't hired a single translator so all the posts that are translated where done in passing by bored/helpful contributors.

Keep in mind those are hentai doujinshi sites collecting amateur H manga. We, in contrast, collect Japanese images (drawings, scans, photos), and so it's not really our goal to make any text in pictures translated. Not having them translated usually doesn't detract from enjoying the images. However you enjoy them, heh.

Aside of English, I also speak Russian and German. But unfortunately, I'm not proficient in Moonspeak. And yet, somehow, I was able to translate this image:

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=2573876

By the way, please give me some feedback regarding the quality of translation, if possible.
Anyway, I bet you're curious how I was able to pull this off. It was possible thanks to the free "google translate" app on my smartphone. You can either take a photo of some text (doesn't work with older devices) and try to get the whole text translated (which often doesn't work so well for moonspeak), or (my preferred method) you use your handwriting to put in characters and hit translate after each new character. This way you get a feel for all the words that are present and can proceed to construct a sentence that utilizes most of those words and makes the most sense.

Looks well enough. Auto translators are usually discouraged (even Google Translate) because they suck. As long as some human interaction is used to interpret the meaning of the text then I can give it a pass, especially if used by a good speaker of English. I have the reading skills of a first grader when it comes to Japanese so a translator often helps but I often have to fix mistakes so that it gives the intended meaning. If the meaning isn't clear from the image then I can still make mistakes, it happens, and someone else has to fix it. Because of this we find it's best that someone fluent in both English and Japanese do the translating or at least look over other's translations.

For images posted by Danbooru, you can often use iqdb to find the post on their site and it may have a translation there. They are often very good translations as they have more/better translators than we do.

売れています。
It's not Rukia speaking, so "I'm for sale!" doesn't really work.
You may want to use "For Sale!" or even better "On Sale!" as it fits with the big red letter advertisement.

チャッピー
Why "Cash"?
Your note doesn't cover the "ー" so maybe you even looked up something wrong?
I'm not familiar with Bleach but a search for チャッピー/Chappy turns up this:
bleach.wikia.com/wiki/Gikon
Maybe it's supposed to be a nickname for Rukia in this case?

スレンダーな身体と極上の締りが特徴。
Again, it's an advertisement, so don't use "they say".
The meaning is okay, though.

微乳好きには堪らない大人商品です。
Your translation works, I guess.

ダッチワイフ部門 1番人気!
An "escort" is not the same as a "sex doll" and it somewhat changes the meaning of the image.
部門 here means "category", not "department". Leave it out in English though, as it's not idiomatic.
So instead of "Most popular escort!" use "Most popular sex doll!" and it's fine.

特別物価
Yeah, no difficulties here.

Edit: Changed the translation notes. Check the note history for the previous version.
