The guy I know of was carrying actual manga across state lines and was arrested. But it is commonly believed that his reason for sentencing is because he pleaded guilty without councel in exchange for a plea deal. Very little to no jail time, but he had to register as a sex offender anyway, for carrying 2d girls around, but it was only for 6 months.

Actual predators often register for life so the plea isn't all that bad. Still, neighbors could have seen him on that and it could effect one's ability to get a job if people think you are into kids.

You seem to have missed the entire thread, since it's been explained multiple times that the law they're talking about was from 2003, and struck down by the supreme court in the same year. In other words, irrelevant since 14 years ago.

That is real life. I bet 99%(or more) of casual people will be shocked by simple straight loli hentai. So I would not take such action as walking around the streets with any "dangerous" stuff.
And there is the internet. I wonder why regular user(not site owner) should even care? I hope you are all smart enough not to write your real personal data everywhere you enjoy lolis(also, use good VPN). No one need you unless you expose yourself on purpose. It is just a common sense, come on.

Wouldn't it be best to just lock this thread at this point?

Upon browsing the site more, I saw there is a ton of shota/loli there. Reporting or even mentioning it to mods does shit because they just ignore you in that matter.

Guess I'll just go fap at "normal" porn and whatever is available on pornhub.

Even if it was relevant, the wording is "produces, distributes, receives, or possesses with intent to distribute" none of which sound like they apply to just browsing the web. I guess loading up a webpage could count as "receiving", but I bet a lawyer could successfully disagree.

I never knew the law was so subjective.
I always thought it was as simple as legal or illegal.

That seems highly corrupt.
Where I live, I’ve never heard in the news about debate on things that are legal or illegal.
Only evidence to suggest it did or didn’t happen.
