Crumbly is still 403ing pretty hard. Is it no longer the suggested app for browsing Gel?

The suggested app for browsing Gelbooru has always been your web browser. We do not support any of the third-party apps.

Is SauceNAO affected by this? Only thumbnails and avatars are working for me at the moment.

The danbooru downloader addon for Firefox is now broken on gelbooru. As much as I can tell, the addon gets the image from the website and sorts them into subdirectories - either per autodownload or by clicking on the symbol in the symbol bar. But now all I see is the "Pic content is empty" symbol in the symbol bar. And, I am logged in. <_<

Anything that is not a sample, thumbnail or avatar results in "Access to specified file was denied... ;_;"

post #2884803 becomes saucenao.com/search.php?d...00b927fe986.png%3F2884803

Edit: I haven't really tried samples yet because I always view originals.

Edit2: That particular post already has a source, I just needed a quick example.

If the application you are using does not send a proper referrer, it will not work.

I just came to my PC and noticed the wallpaper didn't change in awhile. Opened the app and saw this:

10/14/2015 10:53:24 PM: Processing local paper per request ...
10/14/2015 10:53:24 PM: Exception while trying to change wallpaper:
10/14/2015 10:53:24 PM: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.

Opened an API URL manually and saw that the API was disabled for abuse. Just wondering, is there a page outlining the acceptable usage for it? I'm hoping my apps aren't considered abuse. I have the wallpaper one that polls every ten minutes then usually every night or so I check the logs of wallpapers used and mark all the artists whose work I thought was good then use another app I wrote to look over their works and download the images I like.

The API is disabled for everyone, not just you. This includes tools I've used for moderation purposes.

That level of use is certainly within acceptable levels.

So, might I inquire why images now require the proper referrer now to view them in the first place?
