Why can't you filter your favorites
Posted on: 08/21/16 06:41AM

I'm looking for a certain picture in my favorites but it's impossible to find when you have to browse through over 2000 pics.
Why can't you filter your favorites by tags?
So searched through topics and people have been asking this for a long time now. Is it really that difficult to implement guys?

We have a single coder. One.
That's why new features/improvements/fixes take so long to implement, that's why we have all these ads, so we can try to get money to pay him to code full time for us so we can develop faster.

If it makes you feel better, I'm in the same boat as you, except I have 50x the favorites to search through.

People who demand things, should be reminded that "we're still beautyfying the house of god. Send in $50, or more." (Gelbooru's Patreon)

I'm gonna be a douchebag and bump this after more than a year because it's still not there.
I don't really want to be blunt but these kinds of things should be higher on your priority list rather than some icon popping up whenever Lana Rain (nothing personal) favorites something.

I'm not sure but I think the Lana Rain icon is front-end formatting done by the admin and has nothing to do with real site development. Otherwise the situation hasn't changed much in the past year.

This. All user UI is done by lozer. The actual backend development, which would be required to add an actual new feature, is coded by Geltas. By the way, the code for that Lana Rain icon was already there 7 years ago, originally written for LordKaT. It didn't involve any actual new code.

Be more selective with your favorites, like I am. I only have 44 of them. But this would be a nice feature, even though I doubt I'll ever have that many favorites to sort through.

For years, I kept my favorites under 100 posts. I don't know what happened.

We've been looking into searching user favorites for the past year, but it hasn't produced any meaningful results in efficiency, especially as user favorites go over a set number. If we switched to PostgreSQL, from my understanding, it would be possible, but expensive to do. If we maintain using MySQL/MariaDB, it probably won't be.
