I keep getting browser hijacked. It pulls me forcefully out of Gelbooru when I click on a new page and tries to force my webcam to turn on when the website loads. I try to click the BACK button but it won't let me out of the site back to Gelbooru. This is not good.

By any chance did you middle mouse click, or right click instead of left clicking before the window loaded?

I got realcam popup on gelbooru. Just now upon visiting.

But it was closed as easily as any other browser page and opened as a pop-under. (I have pop-unders turned off btw)

Worth mentioning: it had a video or webcam it wanted to play, but flash is set to not run without permission first, so it couldn't do anything.

Try disabling adblock, and if it is, try another browser that isn't Firefox. Sometimes it acts wonky and remains enabled when it is not.

No, it's always when I click another page, or when I click a photo to open in a new tab, the photo opens in the new tab but the RealCam pops up in the other window instead of staying on the picture page in Gelbooru.

That is pretty much how these popunders work now. We have no other option sadly as adblock usage has gotten out of hand.

It is aggressive behavior by "active" advertisements that has made adblockers necessary in the first place.
