Is there, or will there be a way in the future? I kinda used to be able to do this in options by only allowing comments with 1000+ points to be visible.
Nothing kills my boner more than reading/seeing the comments under the pictures.
I tried both userstyle and userJS approaches and wasn't able to make anything particularly easily. Someone with more experience with JavaScript might be able to pull something together you can use to hide the comments, but for now there isn't really any way to do that.
Must have removed some JavaScript that shouldn't have been. We will be converting away from Prototype to Jquery, so I'll fix it when we are done doing the conversion. I should also add a user option to disable loading of comments by default...

I was gonna open a thread like this too once I noticed that there are no hidden comments anymore. I dont want to accidently see any troll or cancerous comments (that were previously downvoted hidden) while browsing - It really kills a lot of fun of this site for me. I'm a patreon supporter since this site joined patreon, but now I'm not sure what to do... Although I approve of disabling the hate on certain pictures, the thing with the comments is really disappointing :(
Everybody is just losing their shit because of comments. What's the big deal?

Since you don't want to see comments, isn't it easier to just ignore them?
