You can use 2080s and still use 80s...

>71% of our content is imported from Danbooru, tags and all. We currently don't have any way to change them as they're imported. Aliases are currently impossible to reverse without forcing a search index rebuild (usually takes a couple days, during which no posts can be uploaded or tagged), so we only use them if there's absolutely no way we'll ever change our mind.

Basically, the tags Danbooru uses are going to be there whether we use them or not. Since we have a policy against redundant tags, we must follow Danbooru's tag policies in almost all cases.
