KH2 is the best KH yet. By far.

Not if we're just looking at gameplay.

It had some great aesthetics. The moves and combos were a lot cooler. The plotlines were probably even better.
But the gameplay was just... kind of gross.

Throwing a bone, KH2 still beats all the mobile games by a mile.

Play through the entire game and take shots every time to get one of these shitty non-standard gameover mechanics thrown in.

It's fucking padded.

KH2 is the Ocarina of Time of Kingdom Hearts. Everyone loved it at the time, and it gives us good nostalgia now. And it isn't exactly the worst game in the series, but look back it with nostalgia goggles off and you see the objectively bad parts are everywhere.

Still the best KH.

Maybe it is more like the Banjo Tooie of KH sequels now that I think of it.

Sometimes, less is more. And Tooie was a triumphant example of that. I had felt KH2 was the same to the first game.

I loved it mostly for the combat mechanics and the Drive Form mechanics. All new games have a deck system that is just annoying. Combos never got crazier and deeper than KH2.

Aside from that, it has the best worlds, moments, and other things.

The only other KH game that I can see compete with is KH3D. But KH2 still wins.

Best Sephiroth fight, too.

First game was barely playable and too clunky.

I've played Kingdom Hearts since I was in elementary school, nibba. It's my favorite game series.
