is there anyway to get back to desktop view from mobile the site is kinda hard to see on a smallish screen. Didnt mind zooming in befor

Not at the moment. They're currently literally the same view; shrink down a desktop browser small enough and it'll display the same way on the fly.
Please use forum #3778 to provide feedback on the new layout. For example, which parts in specific are harder to see?
By the way, you're still completely capable of pinch zooming in on anything on the page.
