Danbooru bot using incorrect pixiv source

I've been noticing this for a while but the Danbooru bot has been using technically correct (but actually incorrect) sources for images from pixiv.
For a recent example: gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=3891829
Sure, the link i.pximg.net/img-original/.../16/43/24/65081525_p0.jpg TECHNICALLY points at the image...
But you just get a 403 Forbidden error when you actually go there, so it's kinda useless.
Does anyone here manage the Danbooru bot or do I need to ask elsewhere?

The Danbooru bot is run by the site itself.
Those are literally the links that Danbooru has on their API. Everything the Danbooru bot does is just a straight copy.

That's odd, I've looked for the same posts on danbooru and they actually had correct & usable sources listed.

No they don't. The source links to the image itself that pixiv won't allow if followed from outside of pixiv so Danbooru uses a subroutine that redirects you to the page where that image is hosted. Gelbooru does not have or use such a subroutine so the links do not get redirected and fail to work when you click on them.

Aah, I see, thanks.
Guess I'll just need to look for the same post on danbooru if I want a usable link. It's a minor detour but it'd still be better if it wasn't necessary.
Are there any plans to add such a subroutine on Gelbooru?

We had one at one point, and then Danbooru changed their link format twice in like a year and we gave up.
