Pop up ads

Ok, so you've gotten me to disable my adblock.

Now can you get rid of the pop up ads and the redirect ads? Yknow, the ones that have a 50/50 shot at being a virus or malware?

That shit's the reason people used adblockers in the first place. I can tolerate banner ads and shit, but I'm not about to give a free pass to those unwelcome pop up windows and stealth redirects. You know the ones. Where when you open an image in a new tab, the old tab redirects to "livejasmin" or some shit like that.

I'd rather suffer through sankaku's "please disable adblocker" pop ups than deal with pop up ads and redirect ads.

Brown 1 pound of 93% lean ground beef in a 10" skillet.
Add 1 16oz. can of tomato sauce and half a can of water.
Add 1 Tablespoon each of chili powder and paprika.
Heat to simmer then remove from heat.
Boil 1 pound of dried thin spaghetti for 10 minutes and strain.
Prepare Pepperidge Farm garlic bread as per instructions on the box.

This is the goodness. This is what my family eats on spaghetti night.

I've been making my own noodles, 125 grams of flour and 1 large egg are the ratio I use to make some good dough. Need a noodle press though, otherwise it is too difficult to flatten it. Boil in heavily salted water for a few minutes.

If I'm making pasta from scratch myself, I usually go pretty simple on the toppings. Salt, butter, cheese, and maybe some salsa if I'm in the mood.

Actually, that goes for rice, too. If I make rice from scratch, it's either plain, or with salt, butter, and cheese.

Both pasta and rice like this are basically comfort foods for me. My mom used to make pasta like that all the time.

Does anyone know what the best way is to shove a bunch of spaghetti sauce up my anus? I don't have a heater atm and would like to warm up my sauce to at least body temperature before consuming it!

Have you tried going to "My Account", then "Options", and clicking on banner ads as your selected ad type? I did that a long time ago and haven't seen a pop-up ad in forever.

Also seriously? Anytime somebody brings up the topic of ads the entire forum decides to post non-sense about food recipes? I get it, there are alot of threads that are nothing but complaining, but this is about redirect ads that can be dangerous and isn't just somebody saying "Remove all ads or I'll tell my mom" or some shit. The least you could of done is let them know that there is a way to disable them.

That's using your noodle.

On a more serious note: Pasta is amazing! The idea that half of our pop-up banners are malicious is probably based on the user's experience with other sites. We don't allow truly malicious ads like that to be used on our users. The most they might do is try to get your attention. If something like that comes up then the specific ad needs to be brought to the admins attention so we can let our ad distributor know.

As a matter of personal preference I have banner ads turned off in my account options and get served only one pop-under twice a day. This has been the case for years now. More recently I have had some pop-under ads that had annoying sound to them (play our game!) but I haven't had any malware from this site EVER. I'm pretty confidant that if Gelbooru ads were doing something to my computer that they shouldn't then my PC Pitstop PC-matic would spot it. I also have Life-Lock. My computer and the personal data inside of it are insured for a million dollars. If Gelbooru pop-under ads were doing something to my computer I think I would know it.

-------------------------------

Edit: Hey look! I just now got a pop-under with sound/music. It's Utaku Crush Crush Moist and Uncensored.

Okay, a little annoying but otherwise harmless.
