Since some days the ads are everywhere. Every click on the page opens a popup and the banner ads are annoying as usual. The settings for ads change nothing. Adblock and other addons are disabled and still i get this shit continuously, without even a single break. If this does not get fixed, i will simply take off and say goodbye. There is some wall of acceptance, but too much is simply too much.

If you have pop-unders enabled in user options you should only get one pop-under every 12 hours, no more.

The only winning move is to quit. Once a grand center for all that is hentai, now nothing than one giant pop-up ad. None of the BS "solutions" work, still get ads, only see blank thumbnails, an ad opens ever time you click the list goes on. A real shame, the only winning move here is to quit. Somehow I have Adblock working on this site but once that stops working, adios to this dumpster fire!

Restart your browser with all addons disabled. If Firefox, click help and then the restart button. Upgrade browser to latest version.

If you have any and I really mean "ANY" add-on that changes the sites style by applying "display:none;" in the css, it will literally say f*** yourself and throw adverts at you like no tomorrow.
That includes small addons like stylish (used to change the style of a site).
And obviously any ad-block add-on

Alternatively crude but found to be working, you can change display:none; options with height:0px;width:0px; and get same result but without gelbooru going full cancer mode on you.
Use that info as you see fit.

After switching between Firefox, Chrome, Gnome Web and reinstalling all of them along the way i got Gelbooru back to not spamming Advertisements on every click. Sadly i need to make Gelbooru the one and only exception to nearly all of my add-ons and this even applies to add-ons which help me to read Japanese. I even had to tune my taper/grease-monkey scripts, which help me tagging.

Height changes will also get detected. I wanted to squeeze a small button next to the pagination and adjusted the height to make it fit, but bang ads in your face.
