Uneducated rant about ads that is entirely wrong with every presumption

Locking every thread about this is ridiculous. Pushing away legitimate criticism is abysmal. I know you've got the raw end of the shaft by the recent Patreon policy changes, but pushing away paid profiles because "You're not Danbooru" and "You don't want to paywall shit" is absolutely childish. We didn't want to pay for porn back then, a decade ago, when we constantly told internet shopping was highly insecure, and we were kids. Now we're adults and we all have a good goddamn understanding of paying for a service that we like. You're being condescending little twats with this attitude. Get a grip. People are trying to help you guys out, not push you towards the ultimatum of this imageboard.

Your site and the way you seem to not filter any of the ads you put in your system has once installed a malware on one of my previous laptops. Unless you have a sure-fire way to prove that this is no longer the case, I am not lowering my adblock shields. I'm sorry, them's the breaks. You aren't aware that region affects a lot when it comes to this, and I happen to live in a region that you don't usually monitor your ads for. Sadly, people here check your content too (hell, maybe overwhelmingly so in certain areas). You're doing more harm than good by giving such people cold feet.

Stick it up your ass. Belittling jerk. Way to properly assess someone's legitimate complaints. With yes-man shitposts that aren't even funny.

Yeah the way the staff and their little followers respond to others when they bring up the issue with ads, whether on the forums or discord, has made it so I will never disable my adblockers for this site.

I'm fine with just a little Parmesan.

I think the malware complaint was fairly legitimate, though it has not happened to me in years. In fact, I think the threads I made about it were never locked. It was one of the main reasons I ended up getting noscript in the first place. I think it was even a mod that told me about it. The fact that the site is no longer usable with it is an amusing turn of events.

I've become a changed man with my pasta choice. I prefer a spicier sauce now, with or without meat.

Friendly reminder that no amount of anti-adblock measures will protect this site from anyone using AdNausem or anything similar rather than a simple adblocker. Ad networks may hate having their ads blocked, but they hate click fraud even more. Too many users flooding the ad network with fake clicks and we end up in a worst case scenario, where the current ad company is just going to pull all of their advertising entirely, and no other ad network will even bother placing ads due to the false clicks.

The advertising bubble is almost certainly going to pop completely in the near future anyway, companies placing ads are starting to move towards a sponsorship-based model instead. So lozer is going to have to come up with a more novel approach to keeping gelbooru funded sooner or later, whether he wants to or not.

Patreon isn't the only donation site out there. I'd imagine there would be at least a few that don't have bullshit ToS. Have you looked into Liberapay?

Well, that's a nice way to put it #666. Good point.
