Ad Troubles
Posted on: 11/07/17 03:43AM

Now before I go any further I would appreciate a lack of trolling, I am not trying to avoid the ads only use them in the way intended.

I have disabled my ad blocker and I'm not running any extensions that script block (Maybe there is something built into Chrome? If so could you point me in the right direction so I can enable/Disable it? Whichever option will help me use the site.

The trouble I have is most common when trying to search although not from the home page. Every time I click the search I get a new tab popup which is an ad, which I don't mind however the new tab that gets created doesn't actually have the changes I made to my search like adding new search terms and when I try again I have the same problem. I also get a new tab every time I move to a new page (Although this isn't that bad)

Is there something I'm missing here? I read over some of the locked threads and someone mentioned anything that blocks scripts could be causing this, but I have checked my extensions and am definitely not running any third party tools for this. Adblock plus is disabled and no pictures will show at all when it is enabled.

I'd appreciate any assistance on this, once again I would appreciate not to be trolled, I'm not trying to avoid ads or block them just work with them.

I have neither encountered ad problems nor am I using an ad or script blocker anymore. I figured the browser is an interesting angle here, but I use Firefox on one laptop and Chrome on a desktop.

If it matters at all, the laptop is Win7 while the desktop is Win8. Also my laptop's Firefox is not updated to the recent version, while Desktop's Chrome is.

Edit: I also have popunders turned off. I may turn it on and see what fuckery happens and report it here.

As for me, I have only the latest FireFox running on a Win10 desktop and I've never had a problem like this on Gelbooru.

I have popunders turned on and banners turned off. I get only one pop-under twice a day, usually from Fap Titans.
