Gifs not showing up/playing

I’ve been having this issue where gifs or animated pictures don’t actually work. Plus when looking at the pages, they have a blue box around them. I’m using an iPad. I dunno what to do to fix it.

Those aren't GIFs, those are WebMs. iOS and Safari don't currently support WebM. To view the video on your iPad, you will need to get a different browser or media player, such as Firefox or VLC.

Okay, actually, I tried Firefox and VLC. It still won’t work. I’m not this smart apparently. How do I get this to work via Firefox?

I don't have an iPad but I do have Firefox on a Win10 PC. You shouldn't have to do anything to get it to work unless you have snail internet in witch case you can wait for the file to finish loading more before playing it.

I have come across at least one codec that failed on my browser but saving the file to my computer allowed me to play it with VLC Media Player just fine.
