You guys say that the Patreon money isn't going to the site itself, it's going to the developer. Okay, fine. Nevermind that you had an ad-free patreon tier reward, thereby conflating the two.

You guys say "two popunders a day isn't that bad". It is. Ads are the most common attack vector for malware. It's not even an advertisement concern, it's a security concern. Especially for off-record, low-bid sites like cartoon porn.

Judging from the success of the site development patreon, and the ongoing failures to convince adblock users to disable adblock, maybe you guys should start a second Patreon for site billing. If you guys could run the site off ad revenue, with current revenue payouts (ie, shit), I'm fairly sure those even adverse to advertisement would kick in a bit. I wouldn't be adverse to five bucks a month.

Unfortunately Patreon will not let us fund the site itself. The reason we can fund development is because the next major version of the software will be released open-source, so the Patreon is funding the software itself that one can use to set up their own booru.

Which ads are you talking about? We've recently struck a deal with a very large company to avoid having to serve aforementioned low-bid off-record sites.

Would you guys ever consider rolling back rules against scat and stuff if it people were wiling to donate for that?
