Since Tumblr probably pulled some shit and now made the old ways of getting the raw images impossible, anyone know if there is another way of getting them and not the samples?
We require that the post page (not the raw) be used in the source field. Posts imported from Danbooru do not do this. Danbooru has a server script that does the translating automatically but we don't and it wouldn't be easy for us to implement this. I don't know if things may change with Gelbooru 0.3 but for now someone would have to go through the posts one-by-one and fix them manually.
He's talking about Tumblr's recent internal change that has either moved their raw image domain somewhere else or made the raws inaccessible; it's got nothing to do with what Danbooru users list as the source for Tumblr posts.
As of a couple days ago, it is no longer possible to obtain raw Tumblr images using any of the previous methods. data.tumblr.com doesn't work, s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr.com doesn't work and they didn't change it back to media.tumblr.com so I've no idea.
Best case scenario, it's been changed temporarily to test something and will be back within a week or a month.
Worst case scenario, Tumblr decided to save server space by deleting them all because "who's even using them anyway lol".
Most likely scenario (to me) is that they've denied public access to them, meaning that unless you work at Tumblr's IT/dev department there's no way to get at the goods.
Only time will tell what's happened to Tumblr raws - or maybe it won't, because this is Tumblr we're talking about here. I'm hoping that they'll come back, but I'm not holding my breath. For now, stick with the _1280 image URLs and remember to reupload if raws come back (all you'll have to do is copy the tags and flag the inferior version).
