403 response from server when posting tag edits?
Posted on: 09/07/18 03:25AM

In the last 24 hours I'm getting many 403 responses when i try to post tag changes. After several repeats of reloading the image page and posting it again, it works sometimes. But it does not make much sense to me. I know that there is an enforced minimum wait time in between multiple post requests, but this wait time seems not to be the issue. I'm getting the 403 response most of the time, but sometimes it succeeds.

For your information:
- Firefox 61.0.1 (Ubuntu 18.04)
- No Extensions enabled

This may be an internal issue with Gelbooru. We're looking into it.

I'll go ahead and add that I've been having the same issue. Chrome user, though, instead of FF.

It's not the browser unless they all updated to a same new standard that intermittently breaks our site. We may have the problem narrowed down but only the admin has access to those systems so we have to be patient.

Bumping for update: Our inbound traffic nearly doubled over the course of last week and it freaked. This morning we split up the allowed use of a daemon, this should solve the problems. Well, it should solve the problem of pages not coming up but it may still be slower then you're used to because reasons. Edited by lozertuser

If you are still having this problem try clearing your cookies. If there's further news I'll let you know.

Wonder why the traffic is spiking. Not that its a bad thing to re-breath life into this site but, who is talking?

I've tried a few other things to hopefully alleviate issues we've been having. So far it's looking promising. Fingers crossed, or back to the drawing board.
