Tagging: 2 of the same character from different series?

I think 2 of the same character in an image is usually tagged "clone" right?

Well what if the 2 characters are technically the same character, but they don't look the same? For instance Lara Croft from the original games and the new Lara Croft from the reboot? I've heard this called a "square_crossover" on other image boards, but I don't see that tag on this site.

Also is there a specific thread I should use for discussing tags?

I don't think we have a special tag for this. I guess multiple_views works.

The thread for discussing tags is forum #1706.

I don't know about in concept, but on an individual basis, if the reboots have their own name, you just use the tags for those.

Run into it a lot with Zelda and the like.

According to the wiki...

Multiple identical characters use the clone tag.

2 different versions of the same character use the dual_persona tag.

More than 2 versions of the same character use the multiple_persona tag.
