At least you did have to click see hidden to see what was there and were always punished for it. As it is right now, there may as well not be a comment section because of all the mentally ill people that have to shit on good art.

How about an ignore option that bypasses Anonymous? Im sure on the backend the website knows who posted what. That information can remain anonymous but blocking a user can still block all their Anonymous posts.

Nope. Comments posted as anonymous are literally posted as anonymous. The username you see is what is stored in the comment table. We store an IP, but that's an extremely unreliable way of blocking someone's comments - you'll end up only blocking a handful of their comments, but lots of comments from people who've ever had the same IP, which could be hundreds of people per IP if it's a VPN IP. And, since our privacy policy prohibits us from disclosing IP addresses, we wouldn't be able to give you a way to undo it if you ended up accidentally blocking half the site.

I was one of the people who oftentimes got downvoted into oblivion, despite 95% of my posts being of exceedingly high quality and not creepy in the slightest (I'd imagine the downvotes were mostly due to my frequent trolling escapades). However, I am actually fully in favor of downvoting being restored as it was extremely fun seeing how enraged people would get at my antics =^-^= That being said, as much as I want the downvoting functionality back, I think the downvoted comments should NOT be hidden (at least not by default).
