Unlikely. For a long time, they actually imported everything that was uploaded here. They still do import from a lot of sources.

That sucks because Twitter is not a real image site. They compress everything that's posted save for PNG files. Everything posted from Twitter looks like a giant jpeg artifact compared to pixiv posts.

I think it's because, somehow, they do more money via Twitter or such.

Twitter compresses any image that isn't a PNG that's 900x900 or less.

The number of duplicates on their site is pretty absurd.

Not to mention their broken tag system

Which only makes the choice by most artists of moving there all the more questionable. Does Pixiv have some kind of policy that pisses off artists so much to go to a much more inferior platform?
