Twitter compresses any image that isn't a PNG that's 900x900 or less.

Which only makes the choice by most artists of moving there all the more questionable. Does Pixiv have some kind of policy that pisses off artists so much to go to a much more inferior platform?

Twitter doesn't mandate that you censor your porn.

Pixiv does have an uncensored tag, though even that is trash so I wonder if its for non-Japanese ips only?

Tags are user-generated on pixiv like on here, existing doesn't mean they're within the rules.

I use Sankaku sometimes, but I find whenever they try to write "journalistic" opinion pieces, it just comes off as some of the most libertarian and conspiratorial guff I've ever read.

It's much easier to reach people with Tweets than Pixiv posts - Twitter has a myriad more users and activity than Pixiv, so it's seen as the better option by many artists. There are also only a small amount of artists who care enough to ensure high-quality versions of their art are available to their fans.

I pretty much forgot about that site ever since they did their redesign... Not very user friendly.
