gelbooru.com/index.php?page=wiki&s=view&id=207It's too bad this isn't really reinforced, except the "don't be racist or sexist" one. There are "oh yah babygirl take that dick" and "mm it makes me so wet to ride dick like that irl ;)" comments abound all over the site... and the latter is usually fucking highly rated by neckbeards.
Both of you who complained about comment quality still failed to produce an example what good commenting looks like in your opinion, even though I've given you the opportunity to do so. Yep. The best way to gear a community toward what you want is to be totally uncommunicative about it and just call people neckbeards until they concede.
Guess you like the status quo but you're being tsundere about it lol.
That's a really stupid fallacy you've launched there, but I'll bite anyway. What I'd consider good or acceptable comments (not a full or comprehensive list):
1: Commentary about the artist/actress that isn't overt, useless complaining ("[x] has gotten a lot better at drawing")
2: Commentary about the character(s) in regards to their source media ("Wow, looks like [x] was sick of being the punching bag")
3: Translation notes
4: Humorous commentary or memes
5: Initial reactions to seeing odd images or files ("What the hell am I looking at?")
While some of these might not ADD much to a conversation, I don't think comments need to be nazi-modded. I feel like they currently are in some cases and bizarrely left untouched in others. What I'd consider bad comments:
1: Complaining about the content of a post
2: Complaining about another user's comment
3: That stupid "*moans* oh yeah I'd love to feel that ;)" IRL roleplaying type comment that's all over the site which ranges from cringeworthy to creepy
On that note, I see that (
gelbooru.com/index.php?page=wiki&s=view&id=207) was changed to remove the that point as it's apparently quite acceptable behavior, and some points were modified to cater to SJW mentality. It's all a rather moot point point, though- I doubt many people come here for the comments, myself included.
