In the past few days I found a massive ammount of pictures got deleted from the website, why?

Did you enable "Display all site content" under options? It's off by default.

We haven't deleted any more images than usual.

Ok thanks to Len, I didn't know there was that option at all, I assume pics get periodically archived and that option lets you watch them anyway?
Didn't now this, was my first purge on the site.
