so i haven't used gelbooru in a while . i came back and was searching tags, but like i normally do, i inevitably added female to my search, which doesn't exist anymore ? im not looking for a fight or arguments. I was going to ask for an explanation, but instead is there a similar image board with a wide variety of tags and the ability to search for images with females? in fact while writing this i went back and noticed i get zilch on vagina and gay. so i cant find intentional either nsfw or sfw females, which i used to use this site for both.

"Female" is not a valid tag. (I'm not sure why, another mod would know more about that reason.)
"Gay" was never allowed as we use "yuri" for lesbians and "yaoi" for homo males.
And the tag for vaginas was always "pussy".

The female tag was changed to "female_focus" recently.

appreciate the response . everything else makes sense, probably should have known that. still, female used to be a tag, one that is sensible to have, especially for both an image site where you search specifics about the images and for a primarily pornographic site for mixed preferenced people.

We get most of our tags and tagging rules from danbooru; so that means you'll probably have to convince them first if you want something like that changed.
Also, most of our images are actually SFW. It's a common misconception but the porn is just looked for more.

It hasn't always been a tag, but tag explains itself better. Rather than somebody posting "male" and "female" together on an image with a group of boys and girls, it's more likely to be tagged properly.
