Don't know if it works that way, but I'll ask anyway:

That one gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=1259791 , poor quality (600/5xx), restored with that one nijizou.com/photo/8408e1a...b8708a6a083aeb2fed.16.jpg (943/870)

As well as the other two that will probably be deleted soon for the same reason:

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=1259787 (600x525) replaced by livedoor.blogimg.jp/worldfunnymovies/imgs/a/8/a80d4a15.jpg (1212/1060)

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=1259887 (600/530) replaced by livedoor.blogimg.jp/idolakko-nijiq/imgs/a/3/a388debf.jpg (1072/946)

The larger versions look like they've been resized. They still have the same level of compression artifacts and such. I can't recommend uploading those other posts.

Yes. Those images are acceptable. (To me anyway.) You may post those to Gelbooru if you want.

Sorry.

I don't think that it's one of bigdeads better drawn images, so I'm not all that keen on restoring it, personally.

It wasn't drawn by him, it was another artist, DarkerEve. I was pointing out the fact that Bigdead violates the terms of service because he's non-Jap artist, draws about the same quality, but is allowed to stay on when one image of similar quality by a different artist was not...

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=3815259

I recently uploaded this pic that I edited, that was flagged due to poor quality, the requirements of which I am entirely unfamiliar with, since it doesn't make any sense. I really don't care all that much whether it gets accepted back, but I will try to explain my side at any rate.

Why I believe the judgement doesn't make any sense, is because the edits I have done are essentially copy-paste, using photoshop. No color and almost no other kinds of edits were made, except the dialogue, which according to one user is a "brain fart gone wrong" and that "nobody in an actual sexual situation would ever talk like that". It is probably what prompted the delete.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at their comment, given the fact that they're complaining about quality of dialogue in a hentai site, the only quality of which anyone coming here should care about is about the drawings. For fuck's sake, the entire premise of hentai and its content all together define the meaning of a "brain fart" since except for vanilla, none of it would happen in real life, no matter how much anyone tried. It's like saying porn is not scripted, but realistic. Simply stupid on a level that I simply can't describe, since any word that I use is an insult to those others described by it.

But I do understand where they are coming from to a degree. It is cheesy and intentionally over-exaggerated. Makes you cringe somewhat, or it doesn't. I don't know people's fetishes. However, that's the idea behind porn really. It's meant to be unrealistic. And just for the record, IT IS NOT A SELF-INSERT! Oh dear lord up in the heavens above, my very soul cringed in disgust at that part. I despise self-inserts from the very bottom of my hentai depraved heart. It's actually created for a game called Sim Brothel 2, which may be thought of as "self-insert", depending on which character you choose (I choose the female mage, which is why I don't consider it SI), but to me it's fap material and that's all. But I digress.

The pictures used are from an artist called Jay-Marvel, who in fact has pictures on this site and I know the creator of this forum post wote that the picture upload is not moderated, but I'm not talking about one or two pictures here, but quite a few. Which leads me to conclude that he isn't in the banned non-Japanese artists section. Could be wrong though.

Tl;DR I'm not emotionally invested in the restoration of the pic, but doing so will still be much appreciated. Mostly doing it in outrage of the comments of the anonymous user and to try and determine for myself, what are the definitions by which admins decide expulsions of images based on quality, requirements for which I'm unsure of.

There's no such thing as a "banned non-Japanese artists section". First of all, all images are evaluated individually. It doesn't matter who the artist is, if the image is crap, it's getting deleted. Second, per the ToS ( gelbooru.com/tos.php ), all artwork by non-Japanese artists are banned until they receive specific exception by the moderation team for quality. These two things together mean that each individual image must be evaluated by a moderator to be allowed. If no moderator has looked at a particular image, that means it has not received an exception, regardless of who drew it or how many of their other works are on the site.

That said, the particular Jay-Marvel you used for this isn't even on the site. There are two possible conclusions that can come from this. The first is that the particular image used has never been uploaded. If this is the case, it has not received an exception from the moderation team based on quality, regardless of what other images by the same artists are on the site. The other conclusion is that it has been uploaded, but has subsequently been deleted, in which case it definitely isn't allowed. There are, after all, currently 3 images by this artist which have been deleted.

In either case, I'm going to back up the evaluation that the the base artwork is poor quality. If the original version by the artist were to be uploaded, it would also be deleted.

Additionally, adding your own dialog to an image is, by itself, something that's very frowned upon and is on its own enough reason to delete the image.

Ah, I see. I'm honestly sorry, I wasn't aware of these details. It wasn't intentional. Maybe you can this clarification to the ToS? I mean, when you write *poor quality*, it's really confusing since I understand it differently.

Poor quality seems to be for either "my grandma draws better" (low quality art) or "artefact fair" (resized and pixellated).
Seeing how details are lacking like the author barely cared about making her look like the original character, I'd say it's the first one

I uploaded a bunch of images drawn by Crombie recently and they were deleted for being non-Japanese/off topic - however, I believe that they are of high enough quality to warrant an exemption. The posts I am asking to be reviewed are post #3815754, post #3815699, post #3815698, post #3815568, post #3815566, post #3815545, post #3815460, post #3815458, post #3815457, post #3815419, post #3815418, post #3815387, post #3815386, post #3815349, post #3815341, post #3815340, post #3815338, post #3815302, post #3815279, post #3815269, post #3815231, post #3815218, post #3815217, post #3815834, post #3815833 and post #3815793.
If they're not good enough then that's fine; I just put a bunch of effort into tagging them and it seems like a shame to let it all go to waste without at least checking first.
