Hello, had a couple questions about deleted post #4543014
The reason for deletion was sighted as being "non-japanese/off topic" In your explanation you said "Do not post photos of figures unless those figures were made in Japan or are of a Japanese character."
The images, while featuring Gamorrean Guards (from Star Wars and Not Japanese) did in fact feature the following Japanese figures: 1.Billy Herrington - a FIGMA figure made by Max Factory, a Japanese company. (So it was made in Japan) 2: In the background is Kirito from Sword Art Online (Japanese anime series) - Head is from a FIGMA/Max Factory figure (a Japanese company) on a FIGMA Archetype He body - also made by FIGMA/Max Factory.
I feel these meet the criteria of "figures made in Japan and Japanese character"

Are these the reasons it was deleted?
Yes. Gelbooru is an English-language gallery for Japan-themed art.
I didn't recognize Kirito. Not every mod has seen every anime. If it had been tagged Sword_Art_Online I might not have deleted it. Max_factory is an approved tag and I have just made Figma a copyright tag, these may now be used. I have fixed some of the tags and restored the post.
Post #1437500 is not a smaller version of #1689316

Post #1437500 is not a smaller version of #1689316; it is a different version. #1689316 is a scan, #1437500 is not. #1689316 has no steam, #1437500 does have steam.

I was nice enough to link to the full image though I was too lazy to post it myself. You have since posted it so the previous post will not be restored.

Not really a restoraton issue, but kinda related. Yesterday I uploaded a pic that seemed fine on my PC, but when viewed in full resolution it had jpeg artefacts, so it got deleted: gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=4551969 It was from my private collection and the file size was rather low, but iqdb didn't show any results and like I said, it seemed fine at first glance, that's why I uploaded it like that. After it was deleted, I did some more research and after a while I was able to find the original file on the artists pixiv site (it was part of a bunch of different pictures): www.pixiv.net/member_illu...ga&illust_id=69128113
I uploaded the original file this time, but after seeing it uploaded and in full resolution, it seems like there are still artefacts, although the filesize was 5 times bigger: gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=4554252
What do I do now? Am I allowed to resize it and upload it with a smaller resolution, so that the artefacts aren't visible anymore? Or can't we have the artwork at all in cases like this?

Images with excessive levels of compression shouldn't be posted even if the artist made it that way.
