Gelbooru has given me a lot of happy times over the last 7 years, so I wanted to show my support since I had some extra money. I didn't want any physical items, so I bought an ad removal code.
Is the code sent via the site's built-in mail system, or sent to my PayPal email, or some other way? I got the PayPal receipt in my e-mail but nothing else.

I believe it is sent to your PayPal email by lozer himself. I can't say I'm 100% sure but that usually what he says.

I see. I figured it was something automated so I was worried since about 30 minutes went by. But if it's done manually then I'll be patient. Thanks for your help.
Add removal code don’t work

Help please. My add removal code never worked for my account. When I hit the enter button to add it it just reset me to the box to add the code. No confirmation page. I don’t believe I should have to pay for a second code. I kno it tracks your account so it’s only allowed on one account. But I only ever use my phone or my laptop to get in Gelbooru. But I haven’t used my laptop for months to begin with it. Any way to fix this ?

The code actually doesn't track your account. Anyone can use the code for any account after it's generated.
Make sure that when you copied the code, you didn't accidentally leave any characters out or copy anything extra like spaces or linebreaks.

Sure, you need to redeem the code that you received this year that is unused, not last year's used code. That's the best way to fix your issue.
