I'm mostly asking this since a friend of mine's sister got scared of her golden tegu, which I think are absolutely gorgeous with their scale patterns. That being said, the "incident" made me curious about other people's "strange to others, not strange to them" pets.

no(-_-), cheeky sci-fi animals don't count, only strange,yet it existed kind of animals.
I find it weird for an old friend of mine who kept a big box full of those large-ass Italian roaches and many other creepy crawlies...oh boy,I don't think it gets any weirder to keep these buggers as pets.

A tortoise named Bowser. He was a really big guy, and his shell was both stylish and impenetrable. Sometimes I used to pet his head and he seemed to like it. And I used to love giving my leftover dry vegetables to him.
He died by eating spray foam. I was heartbroken. RIP Bowser ;_;

I used to have an spider that has a panda pattern on it's abdomen when I was 9. Sadly I accidently crushed it. Cried my eyes out on that incident.

I had a cousin (girl) that seemed to like me a bit too much (nothing sexual), so I gave her headpats from time to time. She was like a pet to me.

Was the foam from the flower power up?
We used to have turtles when I was a wee Doug, since the TMNT were all the rage at the time naturally I named them after the Turtles. Sadly they refused to fight villains with ninjitsu weapons. Lazy little assholes.
