tag poisoning is an epidemic in most boorus,and this booru isn't an exception,which means that we have to be wise about tagging in the first place,and no last-second changes,otherwise that happened.

Undersatandable, BUT it is quite a streach between solving some local captcha vs full google dildo up my ass to fix some tag hanging for many years. Even to post this useless answer I have to let google to load some shitty js library. I doubt I was the first one to nag about this, or I will be the last. The are the ways to avoid this google and filter tagging chaos. On other boorus I did not have this problem. And how captcha will prevent me from messing a lot of posts?

yep, I have to let google gather this much data on my scat futa gay or whatever fetish preferences and my pc setup, and resell it subsequently, so I could in some dimly lit future do free community work

I was thinking you'd need to edit maybe 40 tags and it wouldn't require captcha by then but alright

I got 315 uploads and 368 tag edits and still get the captcha.

I have 600+ posts and 300+ edits and not only still get the captcha but can't even send pms because my account isn't active enough apparently.

Gelbooru's having tag poisoning because actual tag poisoners are not being banned from tag poisoning.
Making it harder for us to fix this mess is only making things worse.
It's a prime example of a website being mismanaged.
