Important Issue: Clicking posts now may sometimes lead to ads being opened on new tabs

Okay, this is the third time it's happened to me: time to complain.

Clicking on a post has a small chance to open up an ad on a new tab. This seems highly intrusive and almost malware-like. I don't know if this is a site issue or a new sickening intrusive ad option that I thought gelbooru was better than.

Regardless, I think be a major issue that needs to be fixed or at least addressed.

had the same thing too...it used to be all that classic feel with just your average ad types, but opening a post with a new tab, with the old one being raped by intrusive ads...cripes...why the admins won't say anything about them? this is a real travesty..issues like these need to be socialised prior, and have it stickied.

edit: so I recently conducted a test run using a private browser + VPN - account log in (because I don't want to,for this exact purpose only)....the link is some nasty live porn chat site...no thanks, site's mighty fuckin' disgusting as hellfire.

Inb4 the admins nuke this thread because it hurts their revenue.

pfft, typical website admins...at least give us some form of transparency and it'll be water under the bridge..no grudges or anything.

Account options, disable ad type. We are currently running a week of popunder ads and users have the ability to disable one type of ad on our site, depending on the types we currently have showing. This will show once per 12 hours.
