I don't know much about Mega-Man, but I believe that it is at least partially inspired by Astro Boy, right? If so, Naoki Urasawa's Pluto, which reimagines one of the arcs from Astro Boy, and the manga and its anime adaptation are both amazing!

I thought that Mega Man was inspired by Tokusatsu shows? I should had worded better, "Mega-Man and the like is allowed" but there's nothing wrong with what you said.
Pluto is genuinely one of the best interpretation I've ever seen. And I was worried if the anime ver is bad but no it's not. It's as good.

I was playing through Megaman 7 for the first time recently.

I have good memories of Legends from about 8 years ago, maybe I should play it again sometime. I also really liked the first 2 X games.
