How do you stitch a scrolling video into full image gif ?
Posted on: 10/12/24 08:16PM

Was wondering how do people take a video where the video scrolls upward or downward and turns it into a full image. Where all the parts of the scene are stitched together. What site do people use to make them ?

A example is below of what I'm trying to talk about.
The scrolling video: gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=10826935

The stitched together full image turned into a animated gif without the scrolling part
gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=3666092

How do people do this ? What website do they use ? I'd really like to know how this is done.

not really, I do it manually, by placing the two fragments and try to join them together

There's countless pictures and gifs here that have been stitched together. But have people all done it manually or just used a website. I've never seen anyone explain how it's done

Try and mess around on Ezgif. There's a lot of interesting functions that you can mess around with on there, And i'm certain that you'll be able to find the answer for your question on there.

No I don't think Ezgif can help. I already use it all the time.

Some other examples of pictures that were stitched together

The original video
gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=2824848

and the stitched together gif without the panning upward effect
gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=1146717

And another animated gif stitched together without the upward panning effect from the same video above

Yeah I thinking stitching is still pretty manual these days.
