Realistic outcome about what would happen if someone had superpowers?

Ok think it like this. What would ACTUALLY happen. It doesn't matter what kind, but let's say mountain carrying super strength or some shit. What would a person do with it? Help others in need? Conquer the world? I mean if the person conquered there's really no stopping them unless some equal force comes along. But what if the person is just like... a Saitama, where his character about just being super gifted, but not really using it for anything productive but to have fun.

It would mostly depend on the individual if they want to do anything good or bad with their powers
For example, if they discover their superpower with no one around, and they decide to keep it a secret, they won't have to use them in order to keep a good image of themselves, they're immune to social pressure. They would only have to worry about their own morals and the question of "should I even use them for good or keep this to myself." If they use it for others, you get a regular super hero, if they keep it to themselves, you get a guy who is oddly strong for someone who looks skinny
Of course this is assuming the person either has neutral or good intentions, I assume that a bad person would immediately use them for their own gain, by causing mayhem to make people fear them or by going on a rampage and just murdering innocent people.
This are the only 3 outcomes I can think of

There's a Hindi/Bollywood movie (it has song and dance, but it's good song and dance) that flopped and didn't get critical acclaim that I really like because I think it shows what would really happen if some normal awkward, bullied college-aged nobody suddenly got invisibility (permanent and irreversible, tho). Yes, he bullies his bullies, but he also tries to get the hot girl next door in all the wrong ways... well, not rape, thankfully, but he tries to pretend he's a god and also robs a bank for her, the power of his ability gets to him and he thinks he can get away with anything. If there's any real issue I have with the movie in terms of realism it's HOW he gets his "power" (a deity statue gives it to him).

Yeah ultimately it would depend on the person. Comparing that movie to the classic HG Wells novel and 1930s film The Invisible Man, that's also a somewhat realistic depiction of what might happen if a young ambitious scientist discovered how to go invisible. Then there's Bilbo Baggins...

It also depends on the power and how the individual gets it (any side effects or something). Showing what happens to a person realistically if they get a power is one thing, but the way some characters get their powers and what their powers are can also span from realistic to ridiculous.

Well if I had the powers of the beyonder, I'd use the to control human population, so the environment won't be affected. Clean the rivers and other ecosystems, turning trash into organic compounds. Increase the number of endangered species so their numbers go back to healthy levels, bring back recently extinct species so they'd resume their ecological roles, remove invasive species back to their natural habitats, and in the case of cats and certain birds, evolve them so they'd be part of the ecosystem they're in.

Well if Phoenix jones was anything to go by, It's actually a lot harder to be a superhero in real life than it seems. Even if someone somehow got actual powers in reality, they'd have a hard time finding incidents that they would really need to use said powers in.

I'm sure unless the individual(s) with the powers has some experience in law enforcement or education in
criminology, they would end up just making things worse and/or killing someone by accident.

Plus I'm sure governments would experiment on said people as their identity would pretty much be figured out sooner than later.

oh and they'd probably get really drunk on their power, lose their minds, or just get really fucking high on some drug and do something incredibly stupid.

If I had super powers im likely going to use them whenever I want, strenght? Yeah I'm looking for a job moving heavy shit and demanding a good amount of money, flight? No more walking (I guess?) but it is possible for me to avoid flying way too high in case I stop and fall, teleport? Yeah it will be illegal for me to use it, but is not as if I could give it that much of a use, technopath? Now we are talking, time to make a good pc out of scraped metals
