The Legend of Korra is utter dogshit

Horribly written mess that is disguised as a sequel to a very good show.
The only thing I liked about the show is how hot Korra is and it's not secret that we want to bang her and have our children. Even her loli form is very kosher.

I quite liked it when I watched it. Some of it is hit-and-miss but as a sequel to Avatar I think they made some cool choices and has some really nice bit's of character work.

The guys who made it said basically Nickelodeon pressured them to make a sequel after the original’s success, and they just said “well it’s our job so why not.”

They did not originally plan to make another, which is why a lot of the plot points don’t really make sense, and they had to age up all the old characters from the original cast. Also, they only had 15 minute blocks to tell the story this time because of advertising, instead of 25-30, like they used to, because of the channel’s change in airtime policy.

In other words, it was kind of a bad idea from the start. They still made the most of it despite that, though, and I think they get credit for starting the “racial minority girl with real life ethnic counterparts set in a fictional universe” protagonist trope, which is definitely better than seeing white guys star in everything.

Which isn't even the first time. There are a lot of dark-skinned characters (girl or otherwise) who weren't just protagonists but also better characters than Korra from a show made in 2012. And if you make the argument that "white guys" are over-represented for the sake of dark-skinned groups then don't just say that Caucassians are the only type of human variation who can be protagonists, since there are other sub-race of humans who also have a light melanin and makes your whole point retarded.

Yeah Korra was definitely a step down from Avatar.

There were a few genuinely great elements to the show, but it was bogged down by a lot of poor writing, bad characters, rushed arcs, etc. Some of the seasons started off great, like with Amon the Anti-Bender, but it completely fell apart towards the end.

Then some of the villains just straight up sucked balls. Like the water bending villain of Season 2 and Kovira of the final season.

Korra herself was a bit of an asshole, and while she's not as bad as how some the internet says she is, she's still pretty unlikable and unremarkable.

Also I never found Korra hot. I found her painfully average. None of the Avatar girls were really "hot" to me. I like Toph or Azula drawn with a huge fat booty, but fan art doesn't exactly count as canon, lmao.

You're just joking, right? Cuz she's like, literally four years old in that scene.

I didn't think anybody liked Legend of Korra until Tumblr (which was the style at the time!) fully fucking erupted about lesbians. I knew people loved Avatar, but I'd never hear anything about Korra before then. But it did kinda stink of forced sequel before I even read the plot, mostly because I'd heard Avatar finished pretty nicely.
Most Nick shows get fucking canned for more Spongebob the second they "flop" (aka, aren't making more than Spongebob) though, so I was surprised it lasted as long as it did, especially if it sucked ass.

Still not as much of an asshole as Steven towards the end of Steven Universe, at least.

Yeah but the porn is great. Iahfy's (previously K-Y-H-U) Korra artwork alone is chef's kiss

That aside, it's not that good. I'll say it got better after season 2 as I thought season 3 and 4 were pretty good. I do wanna be a little fair to the creators as Nick tied their hands behind their back hard on this project. It's a shame cause on paper there's alot of cool ideas here. I mean season 1 alone is about a hotheaded dark skin tomboy fighting ninja terrorists in a dieselpunk city? That sounds awesome but it never delivers on how cool it could be

Yeah you're right SadSap it's 4/10.

And yeah Satori, Steven Universe in general is awful.

I agree with the rest.

She tried to date each of her three friends and failed miserably and somehow they are still friends after each betrayal and arguments that should have burned the bridge completely. Fucking Mako couldn't find another girl and kept following Asami and Korra in nowhere in the comics.

AHHDHD satori. fantastic.

To be honest, I mostly watched it for the gems but I was also a teen, so seeing his bratty ass verbally abuse them for trying to do something nice made me want to kick his fictional head off lol.

Korra at least still has it's die-hard fans to sustain since it's ended. Can't ever really argue with someone over something they hold close to their heart. Or really get their rocks off to.
I did notice a lot of people coming out just to hornypost about Korra though, was kinda awesome. I can't argue that her design isn't pretty good, but I like the fanart of her a lot more. Her tag on GB's pretty fine too, at 1k+ posts. That's more than most characters in general get when they're not an anime girl/loli.
