Why do people keep buying it, even after they complaining about censorship and enshittification?Posted on: 03/06/25 07:22PM
This might be a hot take, but I've noticed that many people tend to repeat the same cycle, especially when it comes to Japanese/anime-themed games.
Every time a game gets censored, altered or filled with forced "modern sensibilities," fans rage online—but then still buy it anyway. This only enables companies to keep ruining beloved franchises.
So, why does this keep happening? Are people just addicted to these franchises? Is it FOMO? Brand loyalty because made by Japanese? Or lack pattern recognition or simply not care?
